Things that make me go HMMMMM.

I was browsing Etsy today looking at cloth diapers, something that I drool over WAY too much. And I happened to come across this.

Never Grown Up
Gag me now!

And this seriously, this made me laugh out loud!

This is WAY cool, but beware if you look at the other things this seller has listed, YIKES!

Check out ETSY and see if you can find some strange things, then report back and link me to your crazy finds!

Double Trouble

We had the privilege of having my little niece Scarlet stay at our house while her mom and dad went to Bermuda Yes, I am/was jealous!

Scarlet is 3 months older than Jack, they have a love hate relationship. Most of the time they love each other, but they do have their moments.

It was actually a lot of fun having her here! They entertained each other and Jack learned a lot of new words from Scarlet i.e. "mine", "NO TOUCH!", "Juice", "me", "turn" and "outside".

They got into a little trouble, they broke a little flower pot and then ran upstairs so they wouldn't be punished. I brought them downstairs and put them in time out while I interrogated them. Scarlet confessed to the crime and was very proud of her mess, LOL!
They enjoyed taking baths together, where they also made HUGE wet messes! But, dang they had a good time.

They hugged and kissed each other (usually after some mishap with hitting, scratching, yelling or pushing.

Scarlet played dress up, she loves her "pretty dress". Jack enjoyed wearing the plastic high heels, should I be worried??? Scarlet however was NOT amused that Jack kept stealing her shoes. Darn it, I missed getting a pic of Jack in the shoes.

And every night while they fell asleep together in my bed (we later moved them to their own beds) they drank their bottles while watching Cars.

I didn't get a picture of it, but I took the 3 of them (Addy, Jack and Scarlet) to Costco all by myself. Jack and Scarlet fell asleep on the way over, I transferred them into my double stroller, and guess what?!?! they stayed asleep!! I put Addy in the Baby Bjorn and went shopping! I pushed the stroller and dragged the cart behind me. I am sure I was quite the sight, but they slept the WHOLE time! It was actually really nice. I even stopped and got a hot dog and sat down and ate it! All while they slept! AND THEN, I put them back in their car seats and they still stayed asleep! Talk about nice!

Scarlet went home last night, she was OVERJOYED to see her Mom and Dad. Heidi and Dave looked so relaxed and TAN! Next time it is my turn to take a tropical vacation and leave the kiddo's at home!

Leaving for our honeymoon. Hal was so excited to finally be leaving, I wanted to savor the last few minutes of the reception.

St. Patty's Day

That dang Leprechaun, he came and turned our dinner green!

Hal thought I went "all out" for the day, but I don't think I did that much. Out of my 4 children I only have 1 that enjoys the day, Trenton thinks he is too old, Jack and Addy are too young, so that leaves Hallie, she LOVES stuff like this, so I do this for her.

I bought her a shirt and socks. The socks say "Got Luck?", she went into our bedroom in the morning and woke Hal up to show him her socks, she asked him if he was lucky, to which he replied "No!", she said "I am L-U-C-K-Y LUCKY!, see look at my socks!".

We made stuffed hot dogs, one of my kids favorite SUPER easy dinners. I just cut open a hot dog, put mashed potatoes and cheese on top and bake it. This time we made the taters green. We also had sprite in fancy glasses, the sprite was also magically turned green. All of the kids loved the "green" dinner, even Addy got in on the action, she loves mashed potatoes!

Super Deal!

Someone on one of my diaper groups alerted me to this so I thought I would share!

Basically if you go to the website www.diapers.com and order any products they carry and order at least $49 worth of product, you can use this code: SUZI5444 and receive $10 off your first order. You are then eligible for a $15 rebate which you apply for here, so you can get $49 worth of diapers or other baby gear for $24 and shipped free to your doorstep.

You can use the codes and rebate more than once if you have a relative or friend who will buy this for you and you can ship to under their name (because offer is one per household and first order only). I also get a kick back of $1 to $5 for everyone that uses my code. So go do some shopping and help this girl get some free BumGenius Diapers!

14 Years, Really?!?!

On Monday, March 9th Hal and I will have been married for 14 years! I can't believe that it has been that long, but at the same time I can't believe it has only been that long.

We celebrated our anniversary yesterday, we went to Red Robin for lunch, Addy and Jack tagged along with us. It was fun being out with Hal, but Jack could have behaved better. The little guy was HUNGRY, so he wasn't very agreeable until he got some food in his belly, then he was happier. Addy was a perfect smiling angel the whole time, such a sweetie!
We then bought Hallie a new bed at Wal-Mart, her old was was falling apart, Hal had tried to put it back together, but it had just had it. We drove home and showed Hallie the box with the new bed in it and she squealed with delight, then we told her that we were taking her and Jack over to Uncle Dave's and Aunt Heidi's house, I think I lost a little of my hearing with the screaming of joy that followed that release of information. Trenton opted to stay home and have a Wii party with "the boys", I am so thankful that Trenton has such good friends and that they are such good boys.
Here is Hallie's new bed. It has a bookcase headboard and it also has drawers that are perfect for keeping her toys hidden in.

We took Hallie and Jack and dropped them off at Dave and Heidi's and then we went to see "Taken", Addy was okay, but she got a little excited and Hal had to take her out. But, no big deal since Hal had already seen that movie.
After the movie we went to my sister's house, Shelley was giving Ayla (her darling little step-daughter) a birthday party, Ayla turned six.

Ayla is on the left

It was fun seeing family and having a little cake and ice cream.

We then stopped at Costco and bought a mattress to go with Hallie's new bed. While we were there they had some sheets on clearance, so we got some new YUMMY soft 550 thread count sheets, they feel buttery, I love them.

We finally went back and picked up Jack and Hallie and they got stuffed into the Durango along with the new mattress. Good thing we weren't going too far.

We slept in our new sheets last night. And today Hal put together Hallie's new bed and also worked on the basement. I went and got a new pedicure (I had a gift certificate - YIPPEE!)

Hal gave me an early anniversary present, my most favorite perfume!! And his anniversary present ummmmmm, the new sheets and a little something special that happens in between, wink wink.

Also Hal's Mom came over and made her devilishly, heavenly OH SO WONDERFUL triple layer made from scratch German Chocolate Cake.

I am waiting until Monday to give Hal his birthday present, so stay tuned for a picture of that.

All in all, it has been an amazing 14 years. I am so truly blessed, thankful and grateful to be married to such a great man. Hal really and truly loves me and our family. He does his best to provide not only the physical things that we need, but he goes out of his way to be the spiritual leader in our family. For so many years Hal has worked swing shifts, extra shifts, gone to full-time (or part-time) school while also working full-time. Even through all of that, he has made sure that we find time to have family prayers, go to church, spend some time together with all of us and also to do things with the kids individually even if it is as simple as taking them to the store with him, or riding home with him when he has met up with us some where so we have 2 cars going home. He works hard at being a worthy priesthood holder, studying the scriptures and being close to the Lord. He is also always so supportive of me, even when I do crazy things like cloth diaper our kids, make my own laundry soap, paint the walls crazy colors or go on a major cleaning binge etc. I really am blessed!

I love you Sweetie!
